Reverse Balayage exists!

We’ve been talking about it in the salon recently…but now it seems the colour technique has come to fruition in the hairdressing world, and we can’t lie – we are SUPER excited about the pics we’ve seen!

This colour is perfect for blondies who fancy a change, and maybe want to add some darker tones to their hair. Reverse balayage does exactly what it says on the tin. Blonde at the roots, and darker towards the ends. Check out this article we found on Glamour.co.uk here with some gorgeous pics. Pregnant Khloe Kardashian reveals the reason behind her new hairdo

Khloe, 33 year-old reality TV star, used social media to explain why her hair is getting curlier to her 115.8M followers – she can’t get Brazilian blowouts anymore.

“I have been Brazilian blow-drying my hair for years,” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, said in a Snapchat clip on Saturday 20 January “because I want straight hair and you always want what you don’t have.”

The A-list celebrity who is expecting her first child in December also said “Now that I’m pregnant I can’t do that, so my curl is slowly coming back.”

At Pierre &James salon we offer Nanokeratin which promises to bring hair back to its optimum health, increase shine, and banish frizz for up to 12 weeks. For further info or to book, please call us on the number below.

L’Oréal Paris launches campaign with hijab-wearing model

L’Oréal Paris has made history by casting beauty blogger Amena Khan as the first hijab-wearing model in their latest hair campaign.

Amena, 34, from Leicester, proudly flaunts her beautiful head scarf saying “Whether or not your hair’s on display doesn’t affect how much you care about it”. Amena is amongst other male and female UK influencers, including Dougie from McFly, and model Neelam Gill, who promote the new L’Oréal product Elvive.

Cheryl Cole, ex Girls Aloud singer, also features in the advert after being out of limelight for around two months, showing off her gorgeous long glossy tresses.

Writing on Instagram, Amena said:

“A game changing new campaign!!! 👏🏽❤️ So… lately I’ve had a complex relationship with my hair feeling lacklustre. When I take off my scarf, I want my hair to be more radiant – don’t we all?”

Did Prince William pay £180 for a haircut?

We are certain he can afford it, but did Prince William pay nearly £200 for a buzz cut?

A buzz cut is a short style including the crew cut, butch cut, flattop and ivy league, used by clippers. However, Prince William’s hair was reportedly cut using the “scissor over comb” freehand technique by Kate Middleton’s long-time hairdresser Richard Ward.

The Political Correspondent from The Daily Mail tweeted what a source had told her ‘The Duke is very amused that anyone thinks he has enough hair to justify that kind of money’. A very funny response we think. Go Prince William!
